Yesterday I visited Sara's Garden Center in Brockport, where I saw a couple of these Ilex verticillata (left). They were aboslutely stunning—completely covered in fruit. Kathy unfortunately didn't have any to sell, but later on in the day I found some, on sale no less, at Grandpa's out in Sodus. Scarfed them up, plus a beautyberry. There are plenty more.
Also at Sara's, proof that the hardy fuchsia (right) actually can be hardy in our region. This one's a few years old and beautiful. Note toad lilies in background. Very nice.
